ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Koolhaus is a conceptual monthly art forum magazine based in Los Angeles. The goal of this magazine is to keep readers informed about latest trends of products and events in the fast pace LA art scene.

Being an artists myself, and receiving a Bachelors degree in Fine Art in Los Angeles, it was fairly easy to dig through my contacts and speak with professionals in the LA art community to build up a concept for the magazine. I spoke with artists, curators as well as academic professionals to see what information they want to see monthly.

Based on my research, I created visually heavy layouts for the magazine to draw in the reader, with the use of large imagery and bright orange colors along with black and white. The content of the pages include a monthly artist interview, events or gallery openings happening that month, as well as articles about different trending artist products.
